Baseball Camp & Softball Camp Ages 5-12
July 22-26 & August 5-9
The Northeast Baseball School invites all baseball and softball players ages 5-12 to attend our 2013 summer camps.
Our baseball and softball camps are half day programs held Monday through Friday. The day begins promptly at 9:00am and concludes at 12:00noon. Both are being held at the Old Tavern Road Athletic Complex in Orange, Connecticut and maintain a 6 to 1 coach/player ratio, while a certified athletic trainer remains on site during the entire program.
Our coaching staff prides itself on teaching young players how best to improve their respective games, while helping each individual player love his/her experience.
The day is broken into two parts. The first is the skills portion where players are drilled in hitting, defense, baserunning, and agility. The second is comprised of live games with modified pitch counts and innings to keep the pace of play fast.
Our Baseball Camp Director is Matt Memoli. Matt has been with NBS since 2004 and is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Newtown High School, which follows a coaching stint at Yale University, and a playing career at Central Connecticut State University.
Our Softball Director is Kristin Boken. Kristin is an elementary school educator in Orange, CT. She works with numerous girls in the Amity region providing 1-1 instruction, specializing in both pitching and hitting. She was a collegiate softball standout at the University of New Haven and joined our coaching staff in 2011.
Swing to Read – NBS Summer Programs Promote Literacy
During our summer camps, NBS conducts a book drive to benefit three childcare centers in the Greater New Haven
region. If you have gently used books for kids ages 4-12, please consider dropping them off during your child’s camp
week(s). Prior to camp, books can be delivered to our indoor training facility at 70 Robinson Blvd (please email Bill
Asermely at
to confirm a time). In 2012 we were able to collect 1200 books, while creating
30 audio books for underprivileged children. This year our aim is to exceed 2000 books!
Team Training Program Discount
If your child participated in any of our team training programs during the 2013 pre-season, you‘ve already received a
