The Daily News

The Daily News is a tabloid newspaper founded in 1919 and named after the New York City daily newspaper of the same name. At its peak in 1947, the Daily News was one of the most widely read newspapers in the United States, with 2.4 million circulation per day. It was the first US daily printed in tabloid format, a style that became popularized after World War II and continues to be widely used in the United States.

The daily newspaper provides its readers with comprehensive coverage of local, national and international news and features, with a particular emphasis on business, politics, sports and celebrity gossip. It also has an intense local focus with New York exclusives, and is known for its investigative journalism and unrivalled coverage of the Yankees, Mets, Giants and Jets. The newspaper also contains an extensive comics section and a comprehensive classified ads service.

In addition to its daily edition, the paper publishes several weekly supplements, including The Week, a twice-daily news digest that is delivered to subscribers via email and online. The Week is a trusted source of news and opinion for more than a million people, and it serves as an antidote to news overload.

As a member of Independent Media, the country’s most prominent media group, the Daily News offers multiple platforms to interact with its audience. Its websites and social media pages are filled with current and breaking news, as well as a wide range of other content, such as video, music and lifestyle. The newspaper is also one of the most prominent English-language newspapers in South Africa, and it has a reputation for being bold in its presentation.

ASCO Daily News is the official conference reporter of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The newspaper provides high-quality, unbiased research summaries from oncology conferences for physicians and health care providers to enhance their education and increase their quality of patient care. All conference coverage is selected and vetted by the ASCO Daily News physician Editorial Board members, who recuse themselves in the event of any conflict of interest.

ASCO Daily News is produced and distributed by ASCO in collaboration with a number of academic partners, including Yale University. It is available on-campus at Yale and at the libraries of other institutions throughout the country. In addition, the newspaper publishes a Friday supplement called WKND, a weekly magazine known as The Daily News Magazine and various special issues each year in celebration of the diversity of the community it serves. These include the Yale-Harvard Game Day Issue, the Commencement Issue and the First Year Issue. ASCO also sells advertising space in its publications to support its mission. However, the newspaper is committed to editorial integrity and does not allow advertising to interfere with its editorial content. Moreover, the content of its publications is determined solely by ASCO.
