A word that has a rich history and shows a remarkable ability to cross over different media. From the theater to music concerts, from sports events to digital media content, entertainment is the ability to take people into a world that makes them forget their problems and wish that this experience never ends. It can be active, as when people create their own games; passive, as when they consume entertainment products such as movies or TV shows; or both, as when a spectator watches a theatrical performance.
